Nestled in the rolling hills of Fauquier County, Skyfiber Ranch Alpacas invites you to step away from the noise and into something quieter, a place where the pace is set by the animals and you can relax.

This isn't a walk-through attraction. It's a personal experience, designed from the ground up to feel that way.

Your Visit Includes

From the moment you arrive, you'll have our full attention and the alpacas. We'll introduce you to the herd, share their individual personalities (they all have one), and let you hand-feed them treats we provide. You'll leave knowing the difference between a curious alpaca and a skeptical one, and probably with a favorite.

Along the way, you'll meet the rest of the crew — our chickens, guineas, resident turkey, and the livestock guardian dogs who take their jobs very seriously. We'll walk you through how we care for the herd, how alpaca fiber goes from fleece to finished product, and what it actually looks like to run a working alpaca farm in Virginia's Hunt Country.

Before you head out, the boutique is yours to browse — stocked with cozy alpaca fiber goods that make excellent gifts for everyone.

A Few Things to Know

Every tour is by private appointment — we don't do walk-ins, and we don't double-book. When you're here, you have our undivided attention. Closed-toe shoes are required, and since most of your time will be spent outdoors, we ask that you dress for the weather.

For the comfort and safety of our herd, pets, outside food and beverages are not permitted on the farm. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property.

We welcome individuals, couples, families, and small groups of all ages. All guests under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Please note that late arrivals do not push back your end time, so we encourage you to plan accordingly.

Curated Encounters

Looking for something a little more curated? Our alpaca photography sessions, gazebo parties are available as a separate booking — perfect for milestone moments, or just an excuse to spend more time with the herd.

A Note on Our Summer Schedule

We take July and August off from regular farm tours — not for us, but for the alpacas. Virginia summers can be brutal, and we believe our herd's comfort is most important. Keeping our animals healthy and stress free isn't just a summer policy — it's the standard we hold ourselves to every day.

Private events may still be available during the summer months, so reach out if you have something in mind. And if a cool spell rolls through, we may open a handful of slots — follow us here and on Instagram @skyfiberalpacas to stay in the loop.
